Thing to see and do in Los Angeles

The J Paul Getty Center is an art museum split into two locations. The one at the Getty Center displays Western art from the Middle Ages to the present; it has superb architecture and views. An estimated that 1.3 million visit annually making it one of the most visited museums in the United States. The museum at the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades contains art from ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria.

Hollywood Boulevard is a famous street in beginning at Sunset Boulevard and ending at Sunset Plaza Drive. In 1958, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which runs from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue, was created as a tribute to artists working in the entertainment industry. The Walk of Fame recognizes such celebrities and icons as Walt Disney, Michael Jackson, Hugh Hefner, and many more. Tourists like to visit here to find their favourite star and take a picture.

Venice Beach is part of a district on the Westside known for its canals, beaches and circus-like Ocean Front Walk that features performers, fortune-tellers and vendors. Another attraction in this area is the sporting prowess on show on Muscle Beach, on the handball, volleyball and paddle tennis courts and skate dancing plaza. The basketball courts in Venice are renowned across the country for their high level of streetball; numerous NBA players developed their games or were recruited on these courts.

 

Eating out & nightlife in Los Angeles

As you would imagine you can eat around the world in LA. Asian-inspired dishes popular here as well as French, Italian, and Mediterranean food. If you're looking for cheaper and late-night dining a few burger stands and pizza joints open after 11 p.m. When it comes to going out, there is something for everyone’s taste; clubs, martini bars, rooftop lounges, thumping celebrity havens all carrying hefty drink prices and entrance queues. If you fancy something a little more relaxed try the sports bars and beach lounges in Santa Monica.

There is an extensive system of bus lines, as well as subway and light rail lines across Los Angeles County. The main is Los Angeles International Airport.
