Your group need to become a member to stay at our Youth Hostels.
Hostelling International is a membership organization. A worldwide network of 4.200 hostels in over 60 countries!

To use our hostels, groups need a membership card issued by the youth hostel association of their home country. Please contact your national office.

Your national membership card is valid for local and international travel if your country is a full member of the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF). To check the status of your country, you find informations: http://www.hihostels.com

If you live in a country which does not have a Youth Hostel Association or if you did not obtain a national membership card before going abroad you will need a Hostelling International Card for Groups.

This card is valid 12 months from the date of issue in all youth hostels of the world.

The group must consist of 10 persons at least, the leader included. There is no maximum size for a group. The minimum age of the leader is 18 years. If the group has less than 10 participants every participant will have to buy an individual Hostelling International Card.
5 Welcome Stamps are required per night. A full Hostelling International Card for Groups with 20 Welcome Stamps costs EUR 62.

If you have lost or forgotten your national membership card and have to buy a Hostelling International Card no refund is possible according to the IYHF guidelines.
