Our hostel lies on a hilltop above the Monschau old town and is surrounded by open grasslands and pastures – an ideal setting for sports, fun and games in the open air! A walk of some 20 minutes takes you to Monschau’s romantic old town. And those who want to spend fascinating days in green surroundings take advantage of the vicinity of the Hohes Venn, the Eifel Nature Reserve and the forests of the Rur valley.

Arrival by public transport
From Aachen Main Station take bus no. SB 63 to Monschau, change in Roetgen to no. 166 till “Hargard“ stop. (Important: You have to ask the driver to stop there!). Alternatively: take bus no. 166 from Aachen Central Bus Station (city centre). This takes you to the “Hargard“ stop without having to change busses. Next public transport facilities

Arrival by coach or car
From Aachen, Düsseldorf, Cologne or Mönchengladbach:
A44 or A4 to Aachen intersection, then onto A44 in the direction of Lüttich (Liège) as far as Aachen-Lichtenbusch/Monschau exit, continue along B258 in the direction of Monschau (signposted), after passing through Imgenbroich village turn left after 500 m into Hargardsgasse.
From Cologne (alternatively), Bonn or Koblenz:
A61 to Bliesheim intersection, continue onto A1 to Euskirchen-Wißkirchen exit, then take B266 through Gemünd to Simmerath, from Simmerath continue along B399 in the direction of Monschau Imgenbroich, in Imgenbroich turn into B258, after passing through Imgenbroich village turn left after 500 m into Hargardsgasse.
