Leisure activities around the hostel
With its winding lanes and little bridges across the Rur, the historic small town of Monschau itself has a very special flair. The unspoilt woodland areas and the high moors of the “Hohes Venn“ are fascinating destinations for hikers and lovers of nature. Those wishing to immerse themselves deeply in the Eifel wilderness will find the Eifel Nature Reserve with Vogelsang Castle within reach. Belgium likewise offers ideal possibilities for day trips. Well-signposted nordic walking, hiking or trekking trails are close to the hostel. Ideal for mountain bikers: the GPS sets to be borrowed at the hostel assist in following pre-planned tours to local highlights.

Open air galore! – a huge outdoor area with large grass play areas offers (almost) unlimited space for games, fun, sports and creativity.
