Sightseeing
Duisburg is a vibrant centre of industry, culture, education and sports. Duisburg Port is the biggest inland port in the world, a boat tour around it is a real experience. The port area, with a history going back more than 100 years, was converted into an attractive urban quarter in recent years. A former grain mill, the Küppermühle, today houses a large art collection. Apart from world-famous Duisburg Zoo, the Museum of Cultural and Municipal History and the German Inland Shipping Museum are worth seeing.
All sights are easily and quickly accessible by public transport.
