Schliersee and Spitzingsee – A fantastic holiday and winter sports area
Schliersee is an internationally noted holiday and winter sports resort in the Bavarian Alps and also has the status of a climatic spa. It has about 6,500 inhabitants and is located in Miesbacher Oberland country, the "soul of Bavaria".

Lake Schliersee (785 metres above sea level) and Lake Spitzingsee, a mountain lake located at an altitude of 1,085 metres, both offer water of the highest quality, making them idea for swimming. At 1,986 metres, the highest mountain in our region is the Sonnwendjoch.

Early on, Schliersee soon made a name for itself in Bavaria and Germany as a popular recreation area as it is easy to reach from Munich. Holiday-makers find ideal conditions here for taking time out from everyday pressures and enjoying magnificent scenery away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The region around Schliersee also offers guests an extensive range of sporting and leisure pursuits in summer and winter alike.
