Passau - The three-river city with Italian flair
Passau - The three-river city with Italian flair
The winding narrow alleys of Passau's famed old quarter bear witness to the city's two-thousand-year-old history, and the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz is always a popular sight. A walk on the Danube and Inn quaysides and around the old quarter, complete with its picturesque cathedral, Residence and Town Hall squares, is a must; the main hall at the Town Hall is also worth a visit. The River Junction (Dreiflüsseck) is a popular place for gaining an up-close view of where the rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz flow together.
