Facilities in Oberstdorf Youth Hostel

Oberstdorf is the southernmost youth hostel in Germany and is mainly frequented by school classes, young mountain climbers and families during school holidays. We provide our guests a pleasantly-appointed hostel, various comfortable day rooms, plus grounds featuring a playground, a challenging obstacle course, a flying fox zipline, a campfire site, an educational activities programme for groups, and a nearby cross-country ski run. We also offer a complete range of mountain and winter sports activities in collaboration with local climbing and skiing schools, including courses in climbing, rafting, canyoning, paragliding, canoeing, Canadian canoeing, snowshoeing and freeriding (complete with avalanche safety training).

We offer attractive dorms for the youngsters. As far as possible, teachers and group leaders are accommodated in private rooms.
Family dorms are also available, some of them with an en-suite shower/WC.
Several day rooms stand at the ready for our guests.
