Age restriction in Bavarian Youth Hostels
Youth hostels are primarily intended for young people. For this reason, individuals over the age of 27 can only be accommodated in Bavarian youth hostels on an availability basis.
This age restriction does not apply to group leaders or families accompanied by at least one minor.
A surcharge on the quoted price is charged to guests older than 27.
Families
Family membership required.
Families staying at the youth hostel with at least one minor are charged the junior price. No charge is made for children less than six years of age in family groups.
Spa resort surcharge (April 1- October 15)
Lindau Youth Hostel is required to charge a spa resort surcharge on behalf of the community of Lindau. The charge for guests between 6 and 15 years is 0,85 € and those over 16 years € 1,40. School classes and job-related stays are excluded from the tax and disabled persons with a valid ID receive a 50% discount.
Single and twin-bedded rooms
Individual accommodation is available in single or twinbedded rooms for a surcharge of € 4.00 to € 6.00 per night/room. Reservation in advance is recommended.
Family Rooms with shower/WC
Some family rooms have showers and toilets for a surcharge of € 6.00 to € 8.00 per night/ room. Reservation in advance is recommended.
Free places
Bavarian youth hostels offer two free places per school class of 22 students or more staying at least four nights and at full board (i.e. only 20 guests are charged for).
