People with walking disabilities/in wheelchairs
Newly-built or renovated youth hostels take the specific requirements of people with walking disabilities or persons in wheelchairs into consideration as far as structurally possible. Lindau Youth Hostel, for example, is suitable for wheelchair users.

While wheelchair users are welcome at Lindau Youth Hostel, please note that as a youth hostel we are unable to fully meet stringent German standards regarding the adaptation of premises for wheelchair users.
Nevertheless, we can offer the following:

  • 6 bedrooms with 2 bunk beds and 1 bedroom with 3 bunk beds and a private bathroom. The rooms are wheelchair accessible and bigger in size
  • wheelchair accessible bathrooms in the hallway
  • 2 twin rooms with wheelchair accessible private bathroom for accompanying persons
  • wheelchair ramp at 2 entrances
  • wheelchair accessible dining room, as well as Rorschach and Konstanz seminar rooms
  • recreation room in the basement is accessible with an elevator
