Quedlinburg Hostel is located directly in the historic center of Quedlinburg. Here, only moments away from Quedlinburg’s many attractions, you can enjoy the peaceful family atmosphere of our hostel. With only 50 beds, we are among the smallest hostels in Sachsen-Anhalt, but we don’t lack anything when it comes to character or charm! Our guests enjoy our central location and the familial ambiance for which our house is known.

With around 1,300 half-timbered houses constructed over the centuries, Quedlinburg was chosen as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1994, the largest UNESCO site in terms of surface area. The history-laden city attracts guests from around the world with its romantic alleyways, secluded nooks, and spacious town squares. Our hostel is your ideal base for exploring the city and the surrounding Harz area.

Activities in Quedlinburg

Quedlinburg is located on the "Romanesque Road" in the north of the Harz region. The old city has a medieval flair with its many timbered houses and romantic alleyways and street corners. There is a lot to discover both inside the city walls and in the surroundings.
Quedlinburg offers an extraordinary wealth of historic and architectural sites and art. There are over 1,300 timbered houses from different centuries to marvel at, roman and gothic churches, watch towers along the city wall and a "Stone Roland", a statue that symbolises a city's right to hold a market, on the market square. The world-famous cathedral treasury, which is on show at the collegiate church on the Schlossberg cliff, is unique in the world.

Traditional craftsmanship and modern art are on offer in the picturesque narrow alleys. The most fascinating thing about Quedlinburg is that there is so much to discover in back yards, behind doors and gateways. The Klopstock House, the castle museum with its exhibition on the Ottonians, the museum for timbered work and toy museum are other attractions that draw visitors to Quedlinburg.
