Location & Directions

The Youth Hostel is located about 2 km outside the city centre in the Bayerisch Häusl district of the city, and is surrounded by spacious grounds for playing and leisure activities.
Bayerisch Eisenstein, approved as a climatic spa by the German government, is located in the Arber region, which stretches between Großer Arber (1,456 m - "King of the Bavarian Forest") and Falkenstein (1,313 m) and borders on the Bohemian Forest.

By coach or car

Off A3 and A93, take exit Deggendorf, continue via Rusel, Regen and Zwiesel to Bayerisch Eisenstein.

Public transport to the Youth Hostel

Würzburg - Nuremberg - Regensburg - Plattling - Bayerisch Eisenstein.
Berlin - Hof - Regensburg - Plattling - Bayerisch Eisenstein (reasonably priced day tickets when you take the "Ostsee-Expres").
Munich - Landshut - Plattling - Bayerisch Eisenstein.
Upon request, the Youth Hostel can arrange for your group's luggage to be transported from the train station to the Youth Hostel for a fee of € 1.50 per person.

The Bayerwald Ticket is a reasonably priced ticket offer that will take you across the Bavarian Forest holiday region by train and bus, offered by RBO, the regional public transport service provider (RBO Regionalbus Ostbayern GmbH).
